The reason there is so much conflicting information on this subject is because the porosity of stones is difficult to corroborate. Our researchers from GIA have informed us that Rose Quartz, Clear Quartz, and Amethyst are non-porous. Other crystals may be porous or have “closed porosity” meaning that pores lay on the surface of the stone but would be very difficult for bacteria to seep through to the center and can be washed away with soap and water.

Chakrubs are carved from “the mother stone” meaning they have never been owned before they reach you. Unlike “massage wands” you may find at a metaphysical shop that may be secondhand, Chakrubs were created with the intention for internal use. Each Chakrub goes through a quality inspection where we ensure the smoothness of the stone. However, if you see something that doesn’t feel right, listen to your body and let us know.

Those who are heavily into crystal healing believe that the crystal is yours before it even reaches you and therefore you cannot make a wrong decision.

Chakrubs are created from crystals and we source most of them from a city in Brazil that is abundant with them. Crystals take many hundreds of years to form and because of that they aren’t the most renewable resource. However, because they last a lifetime it reduces the need to purchase other silicone or plastic products that get thrown away over time.
